Cura Academy – Subscription & Membership Policy

Cura Academy (a trading name of Cura Workforce Solutions Ltd)

1. Overview

Cura Academy provides online health and social care training via a digital learning platform.
Membership operates as a recurring subscription service that provides ongoing access to professional development training courses.

By subscribing, you agree to this Subscription & Membership Policy, our Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy.


2. Membership Plans

Cura Academy offers two membership options:

Monthly Membership

  • £10 per month

  • Recurring monthly billing

  • Cancel at any time

Annual Membership

  • £120 per year (equivalent to £10/month)

  • Billed once per year in advance

  • Renews automatically every 12 months unless cancelled

Both plans include:

  • Unlimited access to available courses

  • Mandatory health & social care training modules

  • Certificates upon successful completion

  • Access to new courses added during membership

  • Platform support

Access to the platform is only active while membership is valid.


3. Billing & Payments

  • Payments are collected automatically through our secure payment provider.

  • The billing date is based on the date you first subscribed.

  • By subscribing, you authorise Cura Academy to take recurring payments for the selected plan.

If payment fails:

  • Your access may be suspended immediately

  • Certificates and course progress may become inaccessible until payment is resolved


4. Automatic Renewal

All memberships renew automatically.

Plan Renewal Frequency
Monthly Every calendar month
Annual Every 12 months

You will continue to be billed unless cancelled before the next billing date.


5. Cancellation

You may cancel your membership at any time by:

Monthly Plan

Cancellation prevents the next payment.
Access continues until the end of the paid month.

Annual Plan

Cancellation prevents renewal at the end of the 12-month period.
Access continues until the end of the paid year.


6. Cooling-Off Period (UK Consumer Contracts Regulations)

You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase.

However:

When you subscribe, you immediately receive access to digital training materials.

By starting a course, accessing learning modules, or downloading certificates, you acknowledge:

You request immediate access to digital content and waive your statutory cooling-off right to a full refund.


7. Refund Policy (Very Important Section)

Monthly Membership

Refunds are not provided after:

  • Accessing courses

  • Starting any training module

  • Completing any assessment

  • Downloading certificates

Annual Membership

Because the annual plan is prepaid digital content:

If no platform access has occurred, a full refund may be granted within 14 days.

If the platform has been accessed:

  • A refund is not guaranteed

  • A discretionary pro-rata refund may be issued only in exceptional circumstances

No refunds will be issued for:

  • Forgotten cancellation

  • Change of employment

  • Employer not accepting certificates

  • Lack of time to complete training


8. Account Use & Misuse

Memberships are:

  • Individual

  • Non-transferable

  • For personal professional development

You must not:

  • Share login details

  • Allow another person to complete training

  • Upload certificates belonging to another person

Accounts suspected of sharing may be suspended without refund.


9. Certificates

Certificates are issued only when:

  • The learner completes the course

  • Required assessments are passed

Important:

  • Certificates remain valid after cancellation

  • However, you may lose access to download them once membership expires

  • Learners are responsible for saving copies


10. Course Availability

Courses may be updated, replaced, or improved over time.

Cura Academy guarantees access to equivalent training, not specific individual course versions.


11. Pricing Changes

We may change pricing in the future.

  • Existing members will receive at least 30 days’ notice

  • Changes apply only at the next renewal date


12. Suspension or Termination

We may suspend or terminate membership without refund if:

  • Fraud is suspected

  • Certificates are misused

  • Login sharing occurs

  • Abuse toward staff occurs


13. Training Disclaimer

Cura Academy provides educational training for professional development.

Our courses:

  • Do not guarantee employment

  • Do not replace employer competency assessments

  • Do not constitute regulated qualifications unless specifically stated

Employers remain responsible for workplace competency sign-off.


14. Technical Requirements

Users are responsible for:

  • Internet access

  • Compatible device

  • Updated browser

We cannot guarantee performance on outdated devices.
